Visit Expo 2015 and enjoy Florence & Tuscany

Expo 2015, the World Exposition Milano 2015 will be held in Milan from 1st May to 31st October 2015. The theme will be Feeding the planet, energy for life. The region of Tuscany will be present with its products and culture in the Italian pavilion. For more information visit the Expo 2015 official web site.

How to reach the Expo 2015

Milan is the capital of Lombardy, a region in the north of Italy. Reaching Milan from San Casciano is done in about three hours using public transport (bus and fast train).

Trains from Firenze S. M. Novella:

From the main railway stations and the centre of Milan there will be frequent buses to the Expo. Alternatively, a new railway station is going to be opened at the north-west entrance of the Expo area, servicing fast trains and regional ones.

South-west entrance can be reached by metro Linea 1.

Why San Casciano

San Casciano in Val di Pesa is located close to Florence, but it isn't crowded with tourists as well. It offers an enjoyable and authentic Tuscan experience for those who want to spent some days relaxing and enjoying food, wines and cultural activities.

Our proposal: enjoy Tuscany before or after visiting the Expo

While moving daily from San Casciano to reach the Expo is not advised on a daily basis, as it would be too tiring, you could spent some days in Milan and then seize the occasion of being in Italy to visit Florence, Florentine countryside and other Tuscan towns. San Casciano is well connected to other places, beign close to a dual carriageway that can quickly take you to popular Tuscan cities like Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Arezzo, San Gimignano and all the little charming villages which the Chianti area is famous for.
