The museums of Florence

Buying tickets
Buying tickets in advance in advisable if you are going to a temporary exhibition or a crowded museum like Uffizi. If you want to buy them on-line let's be clear: the official site of Polo Museale is the only one where you can buy Uffizi tickets (and others exhibitions) without an extra commission charge, as all the unofficial ones apply an extra fee to tickets.
Musei Civici Fiorentini (Florentine Civic Museums) groups all the museums belonging to the Comune di Firenze (the local municipality). Visit the Musei Civici official site for detailed information about opening time and tickets.
With the Firenze Card you have access for 72 hours to many museums of Florence.
If you are travelling with children, we suggest a visit to the Palazzo Vecchio Family Museum.
